My name is Elizabeth Erkaya, and I am an Educational Programming Coordinator at Free the Children. I work with schools and empower youth to create the changes they want to see in the world. I am also an accredited ESL Instructor with a TESL diploma and a TEYL certificate. I am a member of TESL Canada and the Ontario College of Teachers.

In 2009 I graduated from Queen’s University (B.A with Honours in History and Development Studies). The following year I graduated from the Concurrent Education program with a Bachelors of Education in Primary-Junior education with an emphasis on international education from Queen’s University.

I have taught English as a second language to learners of all ages in Canada, China, Cambodia and Turkey. I have extensive experience in curriculum design and implementation. I have taught the Cambridge Business English (B.E.C) program and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

I am in the process of completing my Masters of Education in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on International Education and Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto
